2027-norco-charger-youth-24-new
2027 Norco Charger Youth 24

The Norco Charger Youth 24 is built for the exciting stage when a young rider starts looking beyond the driveway and wants to explore real trails. Its aluminum frame and 24-inch wheels make it a capable companion for neighborhood adventures, family outings, and early mountain biking experiences. Instead of simply shrinking an adult bicycle, Norco focuses on rider-friendly proportions, accessible controls, and confidence-inspiring handling. The result is a bike that gives growing riders room to develop skills while keeping everyday rides approachable and enjoyable.

At the heart of the Charger is a durable aluminum hardtail frame. Its low-standover layout helps riders get on and off comfortably and makes it easier to put a foot down when navigating a tricky section of trail. The hardtail arrangement keeps the rear of the bike straightforward, while the suspension fork up front helps absorb bumps from rocks, roots, and uneven ground. This combination is especially useful for young riders who are learning to read terrain, choose lines, and carry momentum through corners.

Up front, the SR Suntour XCT Air NLO fork provides 70mm of suspension travel. An air-sprung fork offers an adjustable approach to supporting a rider as their skills and confidence develop. Whether the route includes hardpacked paths, a rough stretch of singletrack, or a bumpy shortcut through the park, the front suspension helps take the edge off trail chatter. It also encourages riders to stay relaxed on the bike and concentrate on balance, braking, and steering instead of every small impact.

Shifting comes from a Shimano CUES 9-speed drivetrain with a wide-range 11-46-tooth cassette. That gearing gives young cyclists practical options for both climbing and cruising, helping them learn when to change gears as the trail rises and falls. A 28-tooth narrow-wide chainring and compact alloy crankset complete the setup. The simple single-chainring layout reduces the number of controls to think about and lets riders focus on building smooth pedaling habits. A sealed-bearing bottom bracket adds a practical touch for frequent use.

The Charger also equips young riders with Tektro hydraulic disc brakes at both wheels. Junior-oriented two-finger brake levers are intended to make stopping power easier to manage with smaller hands. With 160mm rotors front and rear, the braking system supports controlled speed adjustments before turns and descents. Developing a feel for the brakes is one of the most important trail skills, and having a consistent hydraulic setup can make practice more rewarding on changing surfaces.

The rolling package uses 24-inch aluminum double-wall rims and CY Trail 24x2.25-inch tires. These tires provide a useful contact patch for loose corners, packed dirt, and mixed recreational routes. An alloy junior riser handlebar, youth-sized grips, a compact stem, and a Norco junior saddle help complete the fit-focused cockpit. Flat pedals make it easy to step off and reset while learning new techniques, from standing over rough sections to practicing small obstacles.

What makes the Charger Youth 24 appealing is its versatility. It can head out for a relaxed family ride one day and tackle more adventurous dirt the next. The component selection brings together features that matter on the trail without making the bike needlessly complicated. For a young cyclist ready to grow beyond basic pavement riding, the Charger provides a solid foundation for exploring, learning, and discovering just how much fun two wheels can be.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5456/7396/files/2027-norco-charger-youth-24-new-floating-blue-side.jpg?v=1792888687
