2027-orbea-oiz-omx-frame
2027 Orbea Oiz OMX Frame

Built for riders who measure a ride by momentum rather than mileage, the 2027 Orbea Oiz OMX Frame provides the foundation for a truly high-end cross-country build. Instead of locking you into a complete-bike parts package, this frameset gives experienced riders the freedom to select the fork, drivetrain, brakes, wheels and contact points that best fit their priorities. The heart of the project is Orbea’s OMX carbon construction, shaped around the current Oiz race geometry and 120mm rear-suspension layout. Its personality is immediate: quick under power, easy to place, and calm enough to stay useful when a race course gets rough.

The frameset uses Orbea’s Oiz Carbon OMX chassis with Boost spacing, a threaded BSA bottom bracket, the UFO flex-stay suspension layout and integrated I-line shock-lockout routing. The supplied FOX FLOAT SL Factory 190x45mm shock brings a premium, low-mass damper to the rear suspension from the start, so the frame is ready to become a serious race machine rather than a bare platform that still needs its most important suspension component. The compact forged alloy linkage and reinforced bridge are designed to keep the rear end aligned and responsive while controlling weight in an area where stiffness matters.

Modern XC racing asks more from a chassis than fast acceleration. Courses now include steeper roll-ins, rougher braking zones and repeated impacts that punish a bike that is too nervous. Oiz answers with racing geometry intended to blend a low, efficient position with more confidence at speed. The 29-inch platform helps preserve momentum over roots and embedded rock, while the 120mm rear end adds useful traction when climbing seated and composure when the course gets chopped up. The regressive kinematic concept is tuned to deliver support without making the suspension feel locked out whenever the shock is open.

Integration is another major part of the package. The I-line routing takes the shock-lockout cable on a direct path through the frame, reducing exposed housing and keeping the cockpit cleaner. An OC Carbon Cockpit MP10 is included, pairing naturally with the Oiz’s race-focused fit, while the OC Squidlock MP11 provides a compact control solution for suspension and dropper functions. Orbea also integrates an eight-function multitool into the frame area above the shock, giving a race bike a practical touch without requiring a bulky saddle pack.

Every size is offered with dual bottle capability, an important detail for marathon racing, long training sessions and hot-weather riding where hydration capacity can decide how useful a race bike is outside a short event. The frame also accepts Orbea’s MyO customization system in addition to the four stock color combinations, allowing a rider to build something visually distinctive while keeping the same competition-oriented carbon chassis underneath.

The 2027 Oiz OMX Frame makes the most sense for the rider who already knows exactly how a cross-country bike should be equipped. Start with Orbea’s lightest Oiz carbon platform, Factory-level rear suspension and integrated controls, then choose the remaining parts around speed, durability, budget or outright race performance. It is a clean starting point for a no-compromise custom XC bike and a strong way to get the Oiz ride without paying for components you planned to replace.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5456/7396/files/2027-orbea-oiz-omx-frame-royal-plum-diamond-black-carbon-view-side.jpg?v=1793127922
