Santa Cruz just dropped the all-new 5010, right in time for prime riding season here in the desert southwest. This isn’t just a phone-in, new linkage, geo adjust with updated components. This is an entire rethink of the most playful bike in the Santa Cruz range. The biggest change of all… this is no longer a 27.5″ dedicated bike, but a mullet or mixed wheel or insert trendy moniker here. The bottom bracket stays low, while the front can plow through the rough stuff.

Before we dig into the finer details, let’s take a look at some pictures. First up, for the 5010, we have a bold Red Gloss with Gold details, followed by the more humble Matte Grey with Light Yellow details. The new 2023 Juliana Furtado comes in Matte Aquamarine with bright Neon Green details.
The mullet setup ups the fun factor, but the devil is in the details! The all-new Santa Cruz 5010 gets the Glovebox with the included wallet and purse for organizing your tools, tubes, snacks, and other trail necessities. The VPP rear suspension platform has been fine tuned to ensure the 27.5″ rear tire stays firmly planted while putting the power down and floats like a butterfly at your request. The all-new 2023 RockShox suspension components do their part in keeping things fun and playful. Plus, the chain stay length and seat tube angle is matched to every frame size, so every rider gets to experience the fine tuned engineering that goes into every Santa Cruz bike.
