TURQ Series bikes are built using Yeti’s highest-grade carbon fiber, delivering a refined blend of stiffness, durability, and compliance. The ride feel is smooth and solid, with a responsive, aggressive character that stands out on the trail. The Carbon Series uses a slightly adjusted carbon layup based on the TURQ platform. By changing materials and fine-tuning the construction, it offers a more accessible option without sacrificing the strength and stiffness that define the premium frame. The tradeoff is minimal, with the Carbon Series SB120 frame weighing only about 200 grams more.

The fully sealed Switch Infinity system is designed for durability and easy upkeep, featuring external grease ports that allow you to service the bushings and seals without disassembly. Yeti and Fox recommend lubricating the system about every 40 hours of riding to keep it performing at its best. It’s important not to over-grease and to stick to that interval for optimal function. Regularly wiping away dust and dirt will also help extend the life of the system. The SB120 is designed to fit tires up to about 2.6 inches wide. There’s plenty of clearance built into the frame, but actual tire width can vary between brands and models, so fit may differ slightly depending on what you run.

The SB120 uses a threaded BSA 73mm bottom bracket and is designed to work with wide Q-factor cranks. It’s fully compatible with options from Shimano, SRAM, and Race Face, while other crank brands may require a quick fit check to ensure proper clearance.

The SB120 is built around SRAM’s Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) standard with 12x148mm spacing. It uses a 12x1.0 thread pitch axle measuring 172mm in length. This setup is only compatible with frames designed specifically for UDH.

The SB120 features an integrated 41mm/52mm tapered headset, with the bearings sitting directly inside the head tube. This design helps keep the front end lower, simplifies installation, and adds to the overall stiffness of the bike.

The Yeti SB120 uses a 36.4mm seat collar.
