We ship bikes fully assembled in a very large bike box, so there’s very little setup required when it arrives. Bikes are set up in store by our expert mechanics prior to packaging for shipping.
How to Set Up Your Bike
Carefully open the box and remove the packaging. Install the front wheel and straighten the handlebar. You'll also need pedals unless you bought pedals with your bike. The suspension (if there is one) will be pre-tuned to your weight. You should be able to ride within a few minutes of opening the box.

The 2026 Ibis Ripley V5 frame is built for riders who want a fast and capable trail bike. It is light, strong, and efficient. This frame is designed to handle long rides and technical terrain. It balances climbing speed with confident downhill control. The Ripley has always been known as a do it all trail platform. The V5 version improves on that reputation.
The frame uses a carbon fiber monocoque construction. This design keeps weight low while maintaining strength. The frame weighs about 7.3 pounds with a Fox Float shock installed. That light weight helps the bike accelerate quickly. It also makes long climbs feel easier. The carbon layup is tuned for stiffness where needed and compliance where it matters.
The Ripley V5 is designed around 29 inch wheels. It can also be set up as a mixed wheel option using the flip chip. This allows riders to fine tune handling. The geometry is modern and trail focused. Chainstay length adjusts from 433 to 438 millimeters. This keeps the bike balanced across different sizes and setups.
Suspension travel is ideal for aggressive trail riding. The frame is paired with 140mm of front travel and 130mm of rear travel. This combination feels efficient on climbs. It also feels confident on descents. The rear suspension uses a 210mm by 52.5mm shock. Small bump sensitivity is excellent.
The Ripley V5 uses Boost spacing front and rear. The rear axle is 148mm. The front axle is 110mm. This improves wheel stiffness and tire clearance. The frame supports modern tire sizes and trail components. It also uses a SRAM UDH dropout.
The bottom bracket is a threaded 73mm BSA design. This is easy to service and quiet over time. Many riders prefer this standard for reliability. The frame uses a 55mm chainline. This works well with modern drivetrains and wide tires.
The frame is designed for long dropper posts. It uses a 34.9mm seatpost diameter. This allows for more stiffness and smoother post action. The brake mount supports a 180mm rotor as standard. It can handle up to a 220mm rotor.
One of the standout features is internal frame storage. The Ripley includes a large storage compartment with an easy access door. This allows riders to carry tools and spares inside the frame. It keeps weight low and centered.
Bottle mounts are also included. A size small fits a 22 ounce bottle. All other sizes fit a 26 ounce bottle. The 2026 Ibis Ripley V5 frame is a modern trail platform. It is light, efficient, and versatile. It suits riders who want one bike for everything.
