We ship bikes fully assembled in a very large bike box, so there’s very little setup required when it arrives. Bikes are set up in store by our expert mechanics prior to packaging for shipping.
How to Set Up Your Bike
Carefully open the box and remove the packaging. Install the front wheel and straighten the handlebar. You'll also need pedals unless you bought pedals with your bike. The suspension (if there is one) will be pre-tuned to your weight. You should be able to ride within a few minutes of opening the box.

The 2027 Santa Cruz Tallboy 6 CC Deore brings the Tallboy’s fast, energetic trail personality to a practical Shimano Deore build that is ready for long days, technical climbs, and confident descents. Built around Santa Cruz’s premium CC carbon chassis, this generation pairs 130mm of four-bar rear suspension with a 140mm RockShox Pike fork and 29-inch wheels. The result is a bike that pedals with the urgency riders expect from a short-travel platform while carrying enough control and composure to keep pushing when the terrain becomes rougher, steeper, or faster.
The CC carbon frame is the foundation of the ride. Santa Cruz uses its highest-level carbon construction across the Tallboy range, giving the Deore model the same lightweight, responsive chassis found on much more expensive builds. The updated four-bar suspension separates suspension movement from pedaling and braking forces to improve traction and comfort without sacrificing efficiency. A geometry flip chip lets riders fine-tune bottom bracket height and head angle, while the redesigned Glovebox V2 provides useful in-frame storage for trail essentials.
Suspension is handled by a 140mm RockShox Pike Base fork and a RockShox Deluxe Select+ rear shock.
