This 2024 Forbidden Druid GX AXS RS S4 in Lilac Summer Daze is a high-pivot carbon trail bike built to carry speed, stay composed through rough terrain, and reward an aggressive rider without becoming cumbersome on everyday rides. The S4 frame combines 150mm of front travel with 130mm at the rear, giving the Druid the lively efficiency of a trail bike and the stability normally associated with longer-travel machines. This demo bike also departs from the original stock build with a fitted DT Swiss EX1700 alloy wheelset, adding a proven enduro-ready wheel package to an already distinctive platform.
Condition Notes:
- Scratches on derailleur
- Scratches on both crank arms
- Minor scratches in both fork decals
- Scratches on both wheel rims
- Scratch on left side of down tube just ahead of Druid details decal
- Scratches on left side chain stay near rear axle and seat stay pivot point
- Scratches on rear brake caliper
The Druid V2 is built around Forbidden’s Trifecta V2 high-pivot suspension system and size-specific One Ride geometry. Rather than simply scaling the same rear-center length across every size, Forbidden varies the chainstay dimension to maintain a more consistent balance between rider and wheels. On the S4, that approach gives the bike a planted, centered feel that suits taller riders and rewards committed cornering. The high-pivot axle path helps the rear wheel move rearward through impacts, reducing hang-up on square edges and allowing the bike to preserve momentum across rough sections.
A 150mm RockShox Lyrik Select fork provides a stiff 35mm chassis and controlled damping for technical descents, repeated compressions, and hard braking. At the rear, a RockShox Super Deluxe shock manages 130mm of travel and works with the Druid’s suspension layout to deliver strong mid-stroke support and calm tracking at speed. The bike remains efficient enough for long climbs and all-day trail rides, but its suspension character becomes especially rewarding when the terrain gets steep, fast, and unpredictable.
SRAM GX Eagle AXS Transmission handles shifting with a wireless, hangerless system designed for consistent performance under pedaling load. The 10-52-tooth T-Type cassette supplies a broad range for sustained climbs and fast descents, while the matching GX crankset and chain complete the drivetrain. SRAM Code Bronze Stealth four-piston brakes provide the stopping power and modulation needed for controlling speed on long descents, setting up technical corners, and managing the Druid’s speed when the trail opens up.
This bike is fitted with DT Swiss EX1700 alloy wheels rather than the original stock wheelset. The EX1700 platform is designed for aggressive trail and enduro use, pairing durable alloy rims with DT Swiss hub internals that are widely known for straightforward service and dependable engagement. The rims provide a supportive base for modern tires and are well suited to the Druid’s hard-charging personality. This upgraded wheel specification is reflected throughout the listing so the bike is represented as currently equipped.
The 29-inch wheel configuration helps the Druid roll efficiently over roots, rocks, and braking bumps while maintaining traction on technical climbs. A OneUp dropper post allows the rider to quickly lower the saddle for descents, and the Forbidden cockpit places the rider in a confident, centered position. Practical details such as a threaded bottom bracket and durable frame bearings make routine maintenance more manageable and support long-term ownership.
For riders who want a trail bike with genuine composure in demanding terrain, the 2024 Forbidden Druid GX AXS RS S delivers a uniquely confident ride. Its high-pivot suspension, size-specific geometry, wireless GX Transmission, powerful four-piston brakes, and DT Swiss EX1700 alloy wheels create a build that can climb efficiently, carry speed through rough ground, and remain controlled when the trail turns steep. Finished in Lilac Summer Daze and offered at a significant discount from its original $6,099 MSRP, this S4 demo bike combines standout looks with serious performance.
