About This Bike

This 2024 Rocky Mountain Altitude Custom Build in Green Blue is a purpose-built carbon enduro bike assembled for riders who prioritize confident descending, dependable components, and a balanced blend of durability and performance. The size large frame uses Rocky Mountain’s 160mm-travel Altitude platform with a 170mm fork, creating a stable, hard-charging package for steep terrain, rough rock gardens, bike-park laps, and long technical descents. Rather than following a factory build specification, this demo bike is equipped with a carefully selected mix of Fox suspension, SRAM drivetrain parts, SRAM Code brakes, and Race Face wheels.

Condition Notes:

  • Scratches on derailleur
  • Scratches on both crank arms
  • Scratches on fork decals
  • Scratches on bottom of fork lowers
  • Scratches on handlebar
  • Scratch on top tube through maple leaf logo
  • Chips on top of right side seat stay
  • Scratches on left side of rear triangle near rear axle
  • Scuffs on seat cover material

The Altitude frame is designed around aggressive enduro riding, with 160mm of rear travel, a low center of gravity, and geometry intended to remain composed when speeds rise and the trail becomes demanding. Rocky Mountain’s RIDE-4 adjustable geometry system allows the rider to fine-tune the bike’s position and handling characteristics, while the large frame uses a 29-inch wheel configuration for strong rollover performance and stability. A size-specific rear-center length helps maintain balanced weight distribution and predictable cornering for the intended rider height range.

A Fox Performance 36 eMTB fork provides 170mm of front travel and a stout chassis suited to hard riding. Although the eMTB designation refers to the fork’s reinforced construction, it works well here as a durable option for a non-electric custom enduro build. At the rear, a Fox Float X2 Factory shock delivers extensive damping adjustment and high-speed control. The Kashima-coated shock is designed for repeated impacts and sustained descents, giving the Altitude a premium rear suspension component that complements the frame’s enduro-focused character.

The drivetrain combines a SRAM GX rear derailleur with an X01 10-50-tooth cassette and SRAM X1 crankset. This proven mechanical 12-speed setup provides a wide range for steep climbs while retaining durable, serviceable components that are well suited to a demo bike. The mechanical GX derailleur keeps shifting straightforward, while the X01 cassette reduces weight compared with lower-tier options. The X1 crankset provides a robust connection between the rider and drivetrain for technical climbing and hard accelerations.

SRAM Code R four-piston hydraulic brakes supply the stopping power required for controlling speed on sustained descents. Their strong, predictable braking character makes them a natural match for the Altitude’s travel and intended use. Race Face ARC 30 Offset alloy rims form the basis of the wheelset, providing a 30mm internal width that supports modern enduro tires and offers a dependable balance of strength, tire profile, and serviceability.

The Green Blue finish gives this custom Altitude a distinctive Rocky Mountain appearance, while the component mix emphasizes practical performance rather than matching a single catalog build. The Fox 36 eMTB fork, Float X2 Factory shock, SRAM X01 cassette, X1 crankset, GX derailleur, Code R brakes, and Race Face ARC 30 Offset wheels are reflected throughout this listing as the bike’s current equipment. No unsupported factory-level assumptions have been substituted for the custom parts provided.

For a rider seeking a capable enduro bike at a major discount, this 2024 Rocky Mountain Altitude Custom Build offers a compelling combination of long-travel suspension, 29-inch stability, powerful braking, and proven mechanical shifting. It is ready for demanding trail systems and aggressive descending, with cosmetic wear appropriate to its demo history clearly documented. Priced at $3,499 against a stated $6,899 MSRP, it delivers serious enduro capability for substantially less than a comparable new premium build.
