Who is the SB140 For?

The SB140 is for riders who want one bike to do it all, and want the best bike they can get. It's designed to be an all-rounder but that doesn't mean it's boring.

The fact is, most mountain bikers enjoy riding different trails on different days and can't afford to own a ton of different bikes. This is the bike for those people. The ones who ride local loops in the evening, plan weekend holidays around mountain biking, and sometimes make it out to the destination trail network of their dreams.

What Makes it Special?

The SB140 stands out for its fantastic suspension performance and sharp handling. Yeti’s Switch Infinity system has been re-engineered with a leverage curve that’s smooth at first, supportive in the mid-stroke, and still strong and controlled at the end of travel. The engineering makes the difference here, the SB140 is at home both on rougher style trails and doesn't waste energy when you're pedaling. It lives up to the promise of a ride-it-all trail bike.

Frame options

Like other Yeti bikes, the SB165 comes in two frame options: Turq, and C series. Both are advanced carbon frames but there are some differences.

The TURQ Series is Yeti’s premium carbon layup. It's the lightest, stiffest, and tuned for the best ride feel.

The C Series is a smidge heavier carbon layup with the same geometry and suspension design. It's the more affordableoption and a still a very high quality frame.

Weight

The SB140 weighs between ~30.2 lb and 32.5 lb (13.7–14.7 kg) depending on build kit. TURQ builds with wireless drivetrains are the lightest, while C-Series builds with Performance suspension are closer to 32 lb.

Size down for a more playful feel, or size up for extra stability.

Build Kits

From all-in to wallet-saving, the SB140 build kits are as follows:

• SB140 LR T4 XX AXS Transmission – Top of the line, with premium Fox Factory fork, SRAM XX AXS Transmission drivetrain, Maven Ultimate brakes, ~30.2 lb. This ultimate build kit is only available in a Lunch Ride version, with 160mm front travel
• SB140 LR T3 X0 AXS Transmission – Lunch Ride version of the T3, with 160mm front travel.
• SB140 T3 X0 AXS Transmission – The highest 150mm front travel build, with premium Fox Factory/Float suspension, wireless X0 AXS drivetrain, and Maven Silver brakes.
• SB140 LR T2 X0/90 Transmission – This is your option if you want a Turq frame and Lunch Ride suspension with mechanical shifting. Featuring premium Fox Factory/Float suspension, mechanical X0/90 drivetrain, and Maven Bronze brakes.
• SB140 T2 X0/90 Transmission – Lowest price point TURQ frame option. This is your option if you want a Turq frame with 150mm front travel and mechanical shifting. With Fox Factory suspension, mechanical X0/90 drivetrain, Maven Bronze brakes.
• SB140 LR C3 GX AXS Transmission – Lower-cost C-Series frame with wireless SRAM GX AXS drivetrain, Fox Performance-level suspension, and Maven Bronze brakes. Perfect if you want wireless at a lower cost. Only available in 160mm front travel.
• SB140 LR C2 90 Transmission – Lowest cost, but still excellent, 160mm front travel build.
• SB140 C2 90 Transmission – Lowest cost 150mm front travel build. With C-Series frame, Fox Performance suspension, mechanical SRAM Eagle 90 T-Type drivetrain, Maven Bronze brakes.
• SB140 TURQ Frame – The frame-only option is only available in the Turq carbon option. It's sold with Fox Factory Float shock.
