We ship bikes fully assembled in a very large bike box, so there’s very little setup required when it arrives. Bikes are set up in store by our expert mechanics prior to packaging for shipping.
How to Set Up Your Bike
Carefully open the box and remove the packaging. Install the front wheel and straighten the handlebar. You'll also need pedals unless you bought pedals with your bike. The suspension (if there is one) will be pre-tuned to your weight. You should be able to ride within a few minutes of opening the box.

Is there anything you want to change on this bike? We can customize the bike for you before shipping it out, just get in touch. That includes anything from basic changes like swapping out the handlebars or saddle, to complex makeovers like a drivetrain swap.

The 2026 Yeti SB165 T3 X0 AXS Transmission is built for riders who want a bike that can stare down bike-park laps, steep freeride lines, rowdy enduro terrain, and remote pedal-access descents without feeling like a compromise. This is the long-travel Yeti that asks fewer questions and gives you more room to send it. With 170mm of front travel, 165mm of rear Switch Infinity travel, a mixed-wheel layout, and a coil-sprung Fox Factory rear shock, the SB165 is designed to stay calm when the trail gets violent, awkward, and fast.
The T3 build starts with Yeti’s premium TURQ Series carbon frame. TURQ carbon is Yeti’s highest-grade construction, tuned for a blend of stiffness, compliance, impact resistance, and low weight. The frame uses Factory Switch Infinity V2 suspension technology, internally tunneled cable routing, a threaded bottom bracket, 148mm Boost rear spacing, sealed Enduro Max pivot bearings, a Universal Derailleur Hanger, and a stout chassis designed around aggressive riding. Size-specific carbon layups help maintain a consistent ride feel across the size range, so the bike feels purposeful whether you are on a small or an extra-large.
Suspension is where this build really starts to flex. Up front, the Fox Factory 38 GRIP X2 fork brings 170mm of controlled travel with Kashima-coated stanchions and serious damping support for hard-charging terrain. Out back, the Fox Factory DHX2 2-position lever coil shock gives the SB165 the planted, sensitive feel that makes rough descents feel smoother and big impacts more manageable. Yeti tuned this platform for coil performance, giving the bike excellent small-bump tracking with enough progression and mid-stroke support to push hard through compressions, landings, and high-speed chunk.
The SRAM X0 Eagle AXS Transmission drivetrain gives the bike wireless, load-capable shifting that suits the SB165’s aggressive personality. The X0 Eagle Transmission derailleur, AXS Pod controller, 30-tooth X0 crankset, 10-52 cassette, and Flattop chain create a clean and precise 12-speed drivetrain with the range needed for winching back to the top. SRAM Maven Silver brakes and 200mm HS2 rotors front and rear add the kind of braking power and heat control riders want on long, steep descents.
DT Swiss Custom EX1700 30mm wheels keep the build durable and trail-ready, while the Schwalbe Magic Mary Trail Pro 2.5 Radial Ultra Soft front tire and Schwalbe Albert Gravity Pro 2.5 Radial Soft rear tire bring serious traction to the mixed-wheel setup. The 29-inch front wheel helps the bike carry speed and smash through rough sections, while the 27.5-inch rear wheel keeps the back end maneuverable when the trail turns tight, steep, or playful.
