Shimano STEPS DU-E8000 Drive Unit - 20 mph, Black. The Shimano STEPS DU-E8000 Drive Unit is a compact drive unit designed for MTB riding styles. Lighter than the E6002 drive unit, the E8000 has a short rear center in order to increase clearance for suspension and large tires.
- Its compact size allows for a shorter chain stay and more clearance with the suspension and tire.
- Offers a direct pedaling feel, both on and off power-assist mode.
- Stable assist power output.
- Includes 2 E-tube ports for Shimano E-Tube Project communication.
