The 2025 Yeti SB160 T2 X01 feels like a bike built specifically for riders who want to push their limits on tough trails. Imagine a bike that’s light enough to climb efficiently but tough enough to take on gnarly descents without breaking a sweat. That’s what this Yeti brings to the table.

The frame is a Yeti TURQ-level carbon frame. TURQ Series frames are Yeti's best frame option. They're made with the highest-quality carbon fiber, and designed for the perfect balance of stiffness and compliance. They're built to handle aggressive riding while remaining solid and smooth, and are tested by some of the best racers in the world to ensure they're up to spec. The bike’s Switch Infinity suspension system cleverly makes pedaling smooth when you’re headed uphill and plush when the trail drops away beneath you. That suspension tech lets you tackle climbs and descents without feeling like you’re compromising on either.

The SRAM X01 Eagle drivetrain provides fast, crisp and reliable gear changes. The wide-range cassette means steep sections and quick accelerations aren’t a problem, while the carbon crankset keeps things light and strong. Shifts come crisp and quick, no matter how rough the trail gets.

You'll also find a set of SRAM Code RSC brakes paired with big 200mm Centerline rotors. They offer steady, reliable control when you need to scrub speed fast or dial in tricky corners. Heat management on long descents means they won’t fade when things get hot.

The suspension comes courtesy of Fox Factory components, including a 170mm travel 38 Grip2 fork up front and a 160mm Float X2 shock in the rear. Both adjust smoothly and precisely, letting you fine-tune how the bike handles bumps and landings depending on how technical your ride is.

Rolling on a set of DT Swiss EX1700 wheels with a 30mm internal width means the SB160 can take wider tires that grip better and feel more stable. The included Maxxis tires—Assegai up front and Minion DHR II at the rear—are known in the mountain biking world for their ability to handle everything from loose rocks to muddy roots.

The cockpit combines Yeti’s carbon handlebar and a sturdy Burgtec stem. That setup keeps your hands comfortable while giving you precise control over the bike, even in aggressive riding situations. Plus, a Fox Transfer dropper post lets you lower and raise your saddle on the fly, which is a must-have feature when the terrain changes quickly.

Chain retention and protection come from an MRP AMG SL bash guide. It guards the chainring without adding much weight. The drivetrain benefits from a SRAM Dub bottom bracket that’s easy to maintain and keeps things feeling solid without annoying creaks.
