The 2025 Yeti SB135: Full Details & Specs
Dart. Weave. Drift.
The 2025 Yeti SB135 is a trail bike with a mean streak. It’s light, tough, and ready to cover a lot of ground, but it’s not here to just spin easy laps and behave itself. Depending on the build, it can lean more quick and trail-friendly or push further into all-mountain territory. Either way, it makes a strong case for being your one-bike quiver.
With 135mm out back and mostly 150mm up front, the SB135 sits right where a lot of riders want to be. Not some razor-thin race bike. Not a mini downhill sled either. It’s for riders who want to have fun on everyday trails, pedal big miles without dragging a tank around, and still point it into rough descents without second-guessing the bike underneath them. It climbs well, stays composed when speeds pick up, and feels bigger and calmer than the travel numbers suggest.
The carbon-fiber frame has that hard-to-argue-with mix of low weight and real strength. The 65.4° head tube angle is nice and slack for a 135mm bike, which helps it stay calm when the trail tips down and speeds start climbing. The 77° effective seat tube angle goes the other direction, putting you in a strong seated position for long climbs and punchy grunts alike.
Sizing and Geometry
Sizes runs from XS to XL. Yeti didn’t just stretch the same bike and call it done. The chainstay length grows with frame size from 429mm to 437mm, while the reach stretches from 400mm on the XS to 504mm on the XL. The fine-tuned sizing gives the SB135 a roomy, centered feel no matter which size you’re on. The XS and S frames, covering heights from 4'10" to 5'7", also get their own layout to improve fit and standover, which is the kind of detail that makes all the difference.
Suspension
Yeti’s updated Switch Infinity suspension does a lot of heavy lifting behind the scenes when the trail gets rough. The upgraded translating pivot setup improves durability, sensitivity, and strength at the same time. On dirt, that means good small-bump traction, a supportive mid-stroke that keeps the bike from sinking into its travel, and better bottom-out control when you decide to challenge yourself and push your limits.
The Lunch Ride build turns the SB135 up a notch with a beefier fork, stronger brakes, and a piggyback shock that gives it more backbone when the trail gets steep and fast. The standard builds don’t come up short either, with SRAM drivetrains and Fox suspension across the board.
What It's For
Fast trail rides, technical singletrack, daily mountain biking, backcountry missions, and having fun wherever you go.
What It's Not For
Pure XC racing, marathon efficiency, or full-time bike park riding, and enduro racing. But you probably already knew that. It’s also not built specifically for flat, flowy trails, though it won’t hold you back on them either. If most of your riding is mellow but you want the freedom to chase rougher terrain whenever the mood hits or you have a day off, the SB135 can still be a great choice.

Frequently Asked Questions
2025 Yeti SB135
Yes, M-XL size SB135s are designed to be compatible with both air and coil-sprung shocks. Sizes XS and small are not compatible with piggy back style shocks due to limited clearance in the front triangle.
The SB135 was designed around a 55mm Boost chainline. Depending on the crank and chain ring configuration you can run other chainlines but you will have to do a clearance check first. Minimum clearance from the chainring teeth to the chainstay is 3.5mm.
The SB135 is designed to work exclusively with SRAM's Universal Derailleur Hanger at 12x148mm spacing. This axle has a thread pitch 12x1.0 and a length of 172mm. Note that this axle is only compatible with frames specifically designed with the Universal Derailleur Hanger.
Lifetime Manufacturer's Warranty.
SWITCH INFINITY utilizes a patented translating pivot that automatically switches direction as the bike moves through its travel. This provides excellent anti-squat characteristics for superior pedaling performance and ideal suspension characteristics as it gets deeper into the travel. Inside are a pair of greased bushings that slide up and down on two Kashima coated rails – it's not an extra shock that needs to be filled with air. Just keep it greased and wiped clean per our maintenance recommendations below.
