Like the name suggests, enduro bikes thrive in competitive enduro racing, where riders face timed downhill sections and untimed uphill transitions, but they’re just as enjoyable for weekend warriors who love challenging trails.
Depending on your perspective, an enduro bike is a downhill bike you can climb on, or an all-mountain bike that's even tougher. With suspension travel typically ranging from 160mm to 180mm, they’re capable of soaking up big hits and rough terrain, but aren't impossible to pedal uphill on. Slack geometry combined with robust frames and components is a great match tackling technical switchbacks, high-speed descents, or rugged rock gardens.
