The 2025 Yeti SB165 is a designed to take you from smashing park laps to backcountry big mountain days. It's an enduro and downhill biker for those who refuse to be limited by their equipment.
The SB165 runs Yeti’s latest Switch Infinity translating-pivot suspension design, paired with custom coil kinematics designed to handle big features on fast and steep trails. It's durable, strong, and did we mention extremely good across the board. It stays active over small trail chatter, doesn’t wallow when you start throwing on steam, and has the bottom-out support you need for landing big jumps.
A TURQ Series carbon fiber frame keeps things light without giving up the strength a downhill bike demands. Each frame size has its own specific carbon layup so you'll get optimal torsional stiffness no matter what size you ride. The refined main frame and swingarm silhouette increase impact and ground clearance, as well as overall stiffness.
The SB165 has an outstanding progressive leverage rate that delivers top performance when you're slashing turns, pumping terrain, or really loading the bike up. It's equipped with a FOX DHX2 Factory rear shock and a FOX FLOAT 38 Factory fork, both of which are tuned to maximize the performance of the Switch Infinity system.
The compact Switch Infinity case boosts frame stiffness, reduces weight, and increases ground clearance, while also leaving more room for hydration.

Yes, the SB165 is designed to be compatible with both air and coil-sprung shocks.
This is mostly defined by your inseam. You can run any travel as long as you are above the minimum insert mark and you are not so low your tire rubs on your saddle or your dropper bottoms out in the frame. Your local Yeti dealer can help you sort this out. We run 150mm drop on SM frames, 175mm drop on MD and a 200mm drop on LG-XL.
No, the SB165 was not designed to accommodate a 29" rear wheel.
