The 2025 Ibis Ripley Deore steps in with a fresh frame that it shares with the latest Ripmo. Travel numbers are classic Ripley: 140mm up front, 130mm in the rear, using the DW Link suspension layout invented by Dave Weigel. That suspension design delivers efficient pedaling and smooth, confident handling over rough ground.
This new Ripley frame brings some smart updates. It’s built around a Universal Derailleur Hanger, making swapping or straightening a hanger simpler no matter where you ride. There’s also built-in frame storage for stashing tools or snacks, which is a practical touch for longer days. Geometry follows the current trend of longer reach, lower bottom bracket, and slacker angles. This results in stability when you’re bombing downhill and provides a solid platform that keeps you moving efficiently uphill. The finish on the frame is impeccable. You might find yourself admiring the paint and welds before heading out to ride because it looks that good.
Equipped with Shimano’s reliable Deore 1x12 drivetrain, this bike shifts crisp and handles a wide range of terrain without requiring you to spend a fortune. Deore four-piston brakes offer strong, consistent stopping power that's ready when the trail gets tricky or steep.
The wheels pair Ibis Blackbird Send alloy rims with Maxxis tires: Minion DHR II on the front for grip and Rekon in the back for rolling traction. These are tubeless and laced to Ibis hubs for durability, ready to take on rocky, rooty trails or smoother singletrack.
The suspension up front is handled by a Fox Float 34 Performance fork with 140mm travel. This tames the trail and takes the edge off bumps. The rear shock is a Fox Factory Float, providing a supple and controlled ride that adapts under you.
A dropper post is standard, here a KS Rage-i with travel depending on frame size (125mm up to 190mm). It lets you drop your saddle out of the way on steep descents. Sitting on a WTB Silverado saddle keeps things comfortable and under control.
Finishing touches include a Cane Creek 40 headset for smooth steering, Lizard Skins grips with plenty of traction, and both an Ibis alloy handlebar and stem that balance weight and strength.
