Continental Urban Taraxagum Tire - 700 x 35 Clincher Folding Black/Reflex Vectran Breaker. The Urban Taraxagum is the first serial product made of dandelion rubber, combining local production with minimal transport distances in the supply chain – ideal for the urban ride.
- Taraxagum utilizes dandelion rubber for construction to support Continental's sustainability strategy, covering economic, ecological, and social aspects. Through significantly shorter distances from the fields to Continental's European tire plants, it uses local resources more efficiently.
- Vectran Breaker is spun from liquid crystal-polymer to create a multiple-thread thermoplastic yarn. This partially crystalline fabric is more cut-resistant than aramid, and its tensile strength is five times higher than that of steel. A Vectran Breaker is lighter, more flexible, and effective against cuts than a comparable nylon breaker, without affecting rolling resistance.
