New POC Time Trial Helmet Has Ultimate Cooling Ability

Published June 12, 2023 | Updated August 14, 2025

POC has released a new time trial road racing helmet called the Procen. It’s a mash-up of the brand’s Cerebel Raceday and Tempor helmets. Offering the same incredible aerodynamics, but even better cooling ability in a more conventional lid. All thanks to the Venturi effect. That’s the reduction in fluid pressure that occurs when a fluid flows through a choke point.

In this case, the fluid is the airflow in the helmet. Three large front vents direct air over your head and out the back. Plus, they drain the high-pressure zone in the front, reducing the build-up of stagnant air and additional air resistance.

This was achieved through extensive Computational Fluid Dynamics testing. POC used 3D scans of athletes from its own WorldTour teams to optimize the helmet for different time trial positions. it’s here for optimal speed, comfort, and heat control for dominating the road race scene.
