The 2025 Yeti SB120 is a short-travel trail bike that refuses to stay in the short-travel box. It has the quick, efficient feel you want when the trail starts going up, but once you start pushing into rougher terrain it shows its hidden, wilder side.

With 120mm out back and a 130mm fork up front, the SB120 can cover serious ground without feeling dull or overbuilt. It holds speed easily and feels sharp on mellower trails, but it still has enough travel to stay calm when the trail gets steep.

The SB120's custom carbon frame is light, stiff, and precise. A 66.5-degree head tube angle keeps the front end confident when you drop in, while the 76.5-degree effective seat tube angle helps put you in a strong spot for climbing. Each size, from XS to XXL, comes with a size-specific chainstay for a consistent feel no matter what your own height happens to be.

You can't have a highly capable yet efficient bike without a top-notch suspension, and Yeti's refined Switch Infinity platform is key to the SB120's superpowers. The suspension performance is well engineered and carefully fine-tuned to rival longer-travel bikes. 2025 Yeti SB120

TURQ Series bikes are built using Yeti’s highest-grade carbon fiber, delivering a refined blend of stiffness, durability, and compliance. The ride feel is smooth and solid, with a responsive, aggressive character that stands out on the trail. The Carbon Series uses a slightly adjusted carbon layup based on the TURQ platform. By changing materials and fine-tuning the construction, it offers a more accessible option without sacrificing the strength and stiffness that define the premium frame. The tradeoff is minimal, with the Carbon Series SB120 frame weighing only about 200 grams more.

The SB120 is designed to run a 130mm travel fork. We tested this frame to 20mm over the spec fork. So if you're feeling the need to beef up the fork, you can run up to a 150mm fork with no problem. Bottom line - max axle to crown measurement of 564mm. Increasing your fork travel will slacken the head angle and seat tube angle and raise the bottom bracket. Running a shorter fork is fine too, if that suits you. Shortening the fork will steepen the head angle and seat tube angle and lower the bottom bracket. SWITCH INFINITY utilizes a patented translating pivot that automatically switches direction as the bike moves through its travel. This provides excellent anti-squat characteristics for superior pedaling performance and ideal suspension characteristics as it gets deeper into the travel. Inside are a pair of greased bushings that slide up and down on two Kashima coated rails – it's not an extra shock that needs to be filled with air. Just keep it greased and wiped clean per our maintenance recommendations below.
