The 2024 Santa Cruz Blur 4.1 GX AXS TR is made for riders who want a serious cross-country machine that feels light and fast without sacrificing durability. The heart of this bike is the C carbon frame. It's designed to be stiff where you need it and light where you don’t, so you get quick handling and solid power transfer on rough, twisty trails.
Shifting gears is handled by the SRAM GX AXS T-Type wireless drivetrain. There are no cables to fuss over. One quick tap sends you to the right gear smoothly and silently, whether you're climbing steep sections or sprinting flats. The range of gears lets you keep your momentum no matter what the trail throws at you.
You'll also find a set of SRAM Level Bronze Stealth 4-Piston brakes. These hydraulic discs offer strong and smooth braking that lets you control your speed confidently, even on steep descents and tight corners.
Out front, there's the Fox 34SC Float Performance fork with 120mm of travel. It's light and adjustable, soaking up bumps while keeping the bike tracking true. In back, a Fox Float Performance Elite shock with 115mm of travel provides a responsive feel that balances efficient pedaling with enough cushion for rough terrain.
The suspension uses a Single Pivot design. It's simple, effective, and low maintenance. It keeps the rear wheel glued to the trail, helping with traction and stability without wasting energy.
To make maintenance easier, Santa Cruz included the SRAM Universal Derailleur Hanger. If it gets damaged, swapping it out is straightforward.
Comfort and control get a boost from the FOX Transfer SL Performance dropper post. You can quickly lower or raise your saddle when the trail demands it so you stay in the best position whether you're climbing or descending.
The wheelset pairs RaceFace ARC Offset 27 rims with DT Swiss 370 hubs. These hold up under aggressive riding but keep the setup light and nimble. Wrapped around them are Maxxis Rekon Race tires in 29"x2.4"WT, equipped with EXO and TR technology. They offer solid grip and are tough enough to take on varied trail surfaces confidently.
The Cane Creek 40 IS headset contributes smooth steering action, making technical trail sections more manageable. The SRAM DUB 73mm MTB Wide threaded bottom bracket keeps pedaling efficient by transferring your power cleanly to the wheels.
