The 2025 Yeti ASR C2 GX is a cross-country race bike that refuses to compromise on descending capability. Lightweight, responsive, and purpose-built with modern XC geometry and durable components, the ASR C2 GX strikes a perfect balance between uphill efficiency and downhill confidence. With a premium carbon frame and a dialed component package anchored by SRAM GX Eagle and RockShox suspension, this bike is ready for the starting line, or a long day in the mountains.
Frame & Suspension
The ASR C2 GX is built on Yeti's lightweight C-level carbon frame, engineered for a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. The frame’s progressive XC geometry is paired with a 67.5° head angle and longer reach to provide superior stability at speed without compromising nimble handling on tight, technical climbs.
The RockShox SID Select fork offers 120mm of front travel and comes equipped with a 3-position compression lever, allowing riders to switch between open, pedal, and locked modes with ease. In the rear, the RockShox SIDLuxe Select+ shock provides 115mm of efficient, active travel, also with a 3-position compression lever. Together, they deliver a plush yet race-ready ride feel.
Cockpit & Controls
Yeti outfitted the ASR C2 GX with premium cockpit components, including a Burgtec Ride Wide Alloy Enduro handlebar with a 760mm width for enhanced control on fast descents, and a Burgtec Enduro MK3 stem, 50mm in length, to keep steering snappy and direct.
The Cane Creek 40 headset ensures long-lasting smooth steering, while the FOX Transfer SL Performance Elite dropper post allows for quick saddle height adjustments on the fly—a key advantage in varied XC terrain.
Drivetrain
The drivetrain is a full SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed setup, built for reliable performance and wide-range gearing. The GX Eagle shifter, derailleur, and chain pair seamlessly with the GX Eagle XG-1275 10-52T cassette, offering a massive 520% gear range—ideal for steep climbs and flat-out sprints alike.
The GX Eagle Alloy DUB crankset with a 32-tooth chainring is paired with a SRAM DUB 73mm BSA bottom bracket, ensuring a durable and efficient power transfer platform.
Braking System
When it’s time to slow down, the ASR doesn’t hold back. Equipped with SRAM G2 R 4-piston brakes, the bike provides strong, consistent stopping power. The CenterLine rotors (180mm front / 160mm rear) offer optimal heat dissipation, giving riders confidence on extended descents and technical terrain.
Wheels & Tires
Rolling on the DT Swiss M 1900 wheelset, this bike offers a balance of low weight and durability. The Boost spacing—15x110mm front and 12x148mm rear—enhances stiffness and handling.
Tires are thoughtfully spec'd for mixed XC terrain: the front Maxxis Rekon 29x2.4" tire with 3C MaxxTerra compound and EXO casing delivers excellent grip and cornering performance, while the rear Maxxis Rekon Race 29x2.35" tire with a faster-rolling dual compound balances speed and efficiency.
