We ship bikes fully assembled in a very large bike box, so there’s very little setup required when it arrives. Bikes are set up in store by our expert mechanics prior to packaging for shipping.
How to Set Up Your Bike
Carefully open the box and remove the packaging. Install the front wheel and straighten the handlebar. You'll also need pedals unless you bought pedals with your bike. The suspension (if there is one) will be pre-tuned to your weight. You should be able to ride within a few minutes of opening the box.

Is there anything you want to change on this bike? We can customize the bike for you before shipping it out, just get in touch. That includes anything from basic changes like swapping out the handlebars or saddle, to complex makeovers like a drivetrain swap.

The 2026 Orbea Rise SL M10 is built for riders who want the speed, response, and natural trail feel of a lightweight mountain bike with just enough assistance to make bigger days feel possible. The Rise SL platform keeps weight and mass under control so the bike stays lively through corners, quick to change direction, and rewarding to pedal even when the motor is not doing much of the work. With 140mm of travel front and rear and fast-rolling 29-inch wheels, this is the more efficient side of the Rise family: a bike made to cover ground quickly without giving up the confidence needed for technical climbs, loose descents, and rough desert singletrack.
At the center of the bike is Orbea's Rise SL OMR carbon frame with Concentric Boost suspension. The layout is designed to deliver traction while keeping the chassis composed under braking and pedaling loads. A FOX 36 Factory fork with GRIP X damper adds precise control up front, while the FOX Float Factory 2-position adjustable rear shock manages the 140mm rear travel. The result is a suspension package that feels supportive when you are pushing speed, sensitive enough to stay connected over chatter, and capable enough for trails that are much rougher than the Rise SL's low weight might suggest.
Assistance comes from the Shimano EP801 RS Gen2 MC drive unit running Orbea's RS tuning. The system can deliver up to 85 Nm of torque, but the character of the Rise is less about overwhelming power and more about making your own effort go farther. RS mode emphasizes range and a natural response, while RS+ can add more punch when the climb gets steeper or the pace gets faster. The standard 420 Wh internal battery keeps the bike lighter and more agile, and Orbea also supports a larger 630 Wh battery configuration plus an optional 210 Wh range extender for riders who prioritize maximum range.
The M10 build uses Shimano's latest electronic XT shifting, pairing the XT M8250 shifter with the XT M8260 SGS rear derailleur and a wide-range 10-51 tooth, 12-speed cassette. That gives the bike quick, precise gear changes and plenty of range for steep climbs without sacrificing the clean, responsive feel that suits the Rise SL. The drivetrain is paired with Shimano Steps EM600 cranks and an e*thirteen Helix Core e*spec 32-tooth chainring. Shimano Deore M6120 four-piston brakes and Galfer Wave 180mm rotors provide dependable control for long descents and technical terrain.
OQUO MC32TEAM 29-inch wheels keep the build light and trail-ready, while Schwalbe Wicked Will Super Race tires balance speed with useful grip. The cockpit uses an OC Alu SL MC21 Rise handlebar and OC Mountain Control stem, and the OC MC10 dropper post gives the rider room to move when the trail points down. Size-specific dropper travel reaches up to 240mm on the XL, helping riders get the saddle farther out of the way for better control on steep or technical sections.
