2027 Yeti MT Frame

The 2027 Yeti MT Frame is the foundation for a custom trail bike built around Yeti’s new 140mm Sixfinity platform. Made from TURQ Series carbon and designed around a 160mm fork and 29-inch wheels, the MT frame gives riders the freedom to choose every component while starting with the same geometry, suspension architecture, protection, storage, and adjustment features used by Yeti’s complete builds. For riders who already know exactly how they want a bike to feel, this is the cleanest route into the MT platform.

Color choices include Turquoise, Gunmetal, and the limited-launch Redrum finish, so a custom MT can be built around a classic Yeti look or a darker, more understated palette. The same frame architecture supports each size with a consistent 342mm estimated bottom-bracket height and 44mm fork offset. That consistency, combined with the changing chainstay, reach, stack, and wheelbase dimensions, reflects the emphasis on giving every size its intended handling rather than simply scaling one geometry up or down.

The frame uses Yeti’s Sixfinity suspension platform and a custom-tuned FOX Float X shock in a 185x55mm size. Leverage-rate adjustment offers 10%, 15%, and 20% settings, giving riders a meaningful way to tune progression for terrain and preference. Yeti also applies size-specific geometry, kinematics, and tuned compliance across S through XL. Chainstay length grows from 436mm on Small to 452mm on X-Large, helping preserve a balanced front-to-rear feel rather than forcing every rider onto identical rear-center dimensions.

Practical details are integrated throughout the chassis. An in-frame storage compartment with a bulkhead includes a Yeti storage frame bag, while a separate hidden location accommodates an AirTag or Tile tracker. The downtube receives wrap-around dual-density protection and the chainstay uses an ultra-quiet protector. A top-tube accessory mount adds another place to carry essentials. The frame also uses a threaded bottom bracket, Boost rear spacing, a 55mm chainline, ISCG-05 mounting, and a 180mm rear brake post mount.

The ZS44/56 headtube standard is designed to support reach and angle adjustment through aftermarket headset cups, with alignment notches that help position those cups correctly. Moto-style brake routing is supported, and the frame uses configurable cable ports plus 148x12mm Boost dropouts and UDH compatibility. Bottle clearance is sized for real rides: Small and Medium accommodate a 21-ounce bottle, while Large and X-Large can fit a 24-ounce bottle.

The MT frame provides 140mm of rear travel and is intended around a 160mm fork, producing a 64.5-degree head angle. Its 29-inch layout, size-specific reach values from 430mm to 505mm, and wheelbases from 1194mm to 1301mm create a platform that grows deliberately with rider size. The supplied FOX Float X shock and adjustable leverage rate make it possible to shape the rear suspension around a custom build without changing the core character of the chassis.

As a frame-only option, the MT is especially appealing for riders moving over a preferred wheelset, drivetrain, brakes, cockpit, or suspension fork. It keeps the important Yeti-specific engineering in place while leaving the rest of the build open.
