We ship bikes fully assembled in a very large bike box, so there’s very little setup required when it arrives. Bikes are set up in store by our expert mechanics prior to packaging for shipping.
How to Set Up Your Bike
Carefully open the box and remove the packaging. Install the front wheel and straighten the handlebar. You'll also need pedals unless you bought pedals with your bike. The suspension (if there is one) will be pre-tuned to your weight. You should be able to ride within a few minutes of opening the box.
Customize This Bike
Is there anything you want to change on this bike? We can customize the bike for you before shipping it out, just get in touch. That includes anything from basic changes like swapping out the handlebars or saddle, to complex makeovers like a drivetrain swap.

The 2027 Santa Cruz Tallboy 6 CC XT Di2 brings premium suspension, precise Shimano electronic shifting, and a fast 29-inch trail platform together in one versatile package. This is the Tallboy build for riders who want the snap and efficiency of a short-travel bike, but do not want to give up confidence when the trail turns rough, loose, or steep. With 130mm of rear travel and a 140mm RockShox Pike Ultimate fork, the Tallboy has the quick acceleration and climbing manners riders expect from the model, but with more control than earlier generations when speeds rise.
The CC carbon frame keeps the bike light, responsive, and tough enough for serious trail use. Santa Cruz moved this generation of Tallboy to a four-bar suspension layout, giving the bike improved traction, better braking behavior, and a more composed feel through repeated hits. The suspension stays supportive under power, yet it still opens up when the bike is pushed through chunky terrain. That balance makes the Tallboy XT Di2 a strong choice for long desert loops, technical singletrack, and fast after-work rides where efficiency matters as much as descending confidence.
The XT Di2 build adds a very clean drivetrain package with Shimano XT M8250 Di2 electronic shifting. The system delivers fast, accurate shifts with a refined feel that suits the Tallboy’s efficient personality. A wide-range Shimano 10-51t cassette gives the bike the gearing it needs for steep climbs and rolling terrain, while the XT crankset and Shimano chain keep the drivetrain feeling crisp and dependable.
