What’s Covered

  • Lifetime for original owners on all Niner frames (standalone or as part of a complete bike) purchased after September 1, 2019, when the frame is registered
  • 5-year warranty on:
    • Steel or alloy frames purchased between January 1, 2017 and August 31, 2019
    • Carbon frames purchased before September 1, 2019
  • 2-year warranty on steel/alloy frames purchased before January 1, 2017

Coverage is limited to manufacturing defects.

What’s Not Covered

Everything except manufacturing defects with the frame is not covered.

  • Damage from abuse, neglect, improper assembly, improper maintenance, alteration, collision, crash, or misuse. If you did something to cause it to break, it's not covered.
  • Normal wear and tear from frequent use.
  • Component parts attached to the frameset (e.g., suspension, wheels, drivetrain, brakes, seat post, handlebar, stem). Components may be covered by the component manufacturer warranty. If you have questions feel free to reach out to us for assistance, or contact the component manufacturer directly.

If your bike has Niner-branded components in addition to the frame, any warranty on those will also be handled by Niner. You will need to contact Niner directly for details.

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be the original owner, eg you bought the bike new
  • You must register the product with Niner
  • You must provide proof of purchase, eg a dated receipt or order confirmation

It's recommended to register the frame as soon as possible after you buy the bike, and preferably to upload a copy of the proof of purchase when you do so.

How to Register your Niner Frame

  1. Check your bike for the frame serial number. This is a good point to also take a photo of the serial number just in case your bike gets lost or stolen (also check our guide to protect your bike from theft).
  2. Take a photo of your receipt if you have a physical paper receipt
  3. Ensure you have access to a image or PDF of your receipt on the device you're going to use to register your frame
  4. Visit ninerbikes.com/pages/registration to access the registration form
  5. Fill out the required fields and upload your proof of purchase
  6. Get our and ride!

How to Start a Warranty Claim

Visit your nearest Norco dealer, like Airpark Bike Co, with the problematic frame and your proof of purchase. The shop will inspect the frame and advise on next steps.

If you lack an authorized dealer nearby, contact Niner’s warranty support via email for guidance.

To start a claim, use Niner’s warranty claim form here.

Tips to Keep Your Warranty Valid

  • Register your product soon after purchase
  • Keep your proof of purchase and documentation from when you bought the bike
  • Avoid alterations that could void coverage (don't repaint your frame)
  • Keep your bike well maintained

Crash Replacement Program

If your bike is damaged in a crash or other non-warranty situation, Niner offers a crash replacement option. Under this program, Niner will sell replacement frames and parts to the original owner at a minimum cost, at their discretion. As a guideline, they provide a 35% discount over retail pricing.

The crash replacement offer may be refused if damage results from neglect or misuse.

The crash replacement program is also only for the original owner.

FAQs

Is repainting my frame covered?

No. Repainting or powder coating voids the warranty. Time to go crazy on stickers?

Is the warranty transferable?

No, it applies only to the original owner.

Does changing components void warranty?

It may. Using incompatible parts can affect coverage. Contact us if you would like some advice on using specific components.

Can I file a claim through any authorized dealer?

Yes, you do not need to go through the original dealer. Even if you bought your bike elsewhere, we can help you with your Niner warranty claim. Alternatively, if you buy a bike from us and you live elsewhere, you can service warranty claims through a bike shop closer to you.

How long do warranty claims take?

Processing times vary, but according to Niner after a claim is officially submitted it should typically processed within 7-10 business days, and you should get your new frame within 6-10 weeks for US-based Niner riders.

If replacement inventory is not immediately available or you don't have complete documentation of your purchase the process can take longer.

Are Used Bikes Covered?

No. Niner’s warranty is not transferable to second owners, even if the original warranty period has not expired. Coverage is valid only for the original purchaser with proof of purchase.
